The purpose of the Carolina Hoopfest Club team program is to provide a positive and inspiring environment for elite basketball players to compete and grow both on and off the court. Carolina Hoopfest takes pride in providing a great experience for both players and parents who are a part of the organization.

Our club basketball teams give advanced players in the Cabarrus County, Charlotte and surrounding areas the opportunity to work with experienced instructors who have high school, collegiate and/or professional playing experience. Elite teams will typically practice two times per week and have games on Saturdays OR Sundays (depending on the season).

Hoopfest Club Teams | FAQ

Who coaches these teams?
All coaches have either played or coached at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.

Where do teams play/practice?

All practices and/or games (Leagues/Tournaments) will take place in the Cabarrus County/Charlotte area unless otherwise noted.

When/Where are workouts?

Invited club team members typically have 1-2 workouts weekly (excluding holidays) and also participate in 1-2 tournaments monthly. Workout schedule(s) vary by season depending on facility availability, etc.

Is playing time even for all players?
No, we believe in developing EVERY player on the team, but we cannot guarantee that a player will be on the court the same amount of time as everyone else. All players will participate in games - however, playing time will vary.

What is the financial commitment?
The tuition for each season varies from season-to-season. These fees are given to cover tournament fees, administrative fees, court rentals, etc.  Travel expenses & admission fees are not included in the "club membership fee". Typical membership dues are $99-125 monthly which includes 7-8+ skills workouts/practices monthly + 1-2+ tournaments per month.  * Siblings Discounts Available * ($25.00 Off 2nd Child, 3rd Child, Etc.) Fundraising programs are available to help offset the membership costs.

How many players are on each team?
Typically, we have 7-10 players on each team. We believe that this is a good number of athletes to create an effective practice/game environment.

What is the club tryout process? Tryout process explained:

The Carolina Hoopfest club program typically has tryouts seasonally (typically 1-2 tryout sessions per season - ex: Winter, Fall, Spring, Summer). Following tryouts: coaches will meet to finalize rosters, etc. and program invitations will be sent out to selected players via email.

How important is attendance?
We cannot stress enough-  the importance of attending practice/games. The reason we schedule these practices is to develop our athletes and ensure that they will be successful come game-time. Attending all practices is key in creating a successful TEAM. If you miss more than 3-4 practices in a season, we will have a parent/coach meeting to determine your future within the program.

Is fundraising available?

Yes, all players will have access to fundraising tools to help alleviate tuition costs for the season.
